About the Blue Ridge Jays
Established in 2023, the Blue Ridge Jays organization is comprised of young men and women who are homeschooled or from Christian private schools from the central Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Originally solely a varsity baseball organization, the program added junior varsity games in 2025 and in 2026 expanded for the JV team to have its own roster and play a full season schedule.
The program is excited to take a huge step forward in 2027 with the addition of a softball program for 7th through 12th grade girls. The addition of Lady Jays softball makes the Blue Ridge Jays THE premier destination for families of homeschooled and private school children seeking elite-level baseball and softball skill development and top competition.
Based in and around the Harrisonburg, Virginia area, the Blue Ridge Jays are a Christ-centered athletics organization committed to teaching sound, fundamental baseball and softball. On- (and off-) field excellence is expected of our players as they learn and grow within the game, for life.
The baseball Jays are proud to call Montezuma Ruritan Park our home field. It is located in the Montezuma area at 6546 McNett Dr. Dayton, Virginia 22821. More information about softball game locations to be announced.

Baseball Skills Clinic/Tryout Info for Fall 2026!
Our annual Fall skill clinics run six weeks on Tuesday evenings beginning Sept. 22. The clinics double as tryouts for new players for the varsity and JV squads. If you are new to the program, please contact the coaches prior to the first clinic!

Wrapping up the 2026 Season
We concluded our season with our end of year picnic this evening. Congratulations to Hudson Slye for being named MIP, Alex Showalter was our MVP, and Josh Craig (not pictured) received the Godly Man of Character award. See photos of our winners on our Facebook page!
